a 3T3-L1 adipocytes in six-well plates were incubated for 48 h with various concentrations of the glucose transport inhibitors cytochalasin B and phloretin. Total intracellular DNA, protein and trigycerides were assayed according to previously published methods (9). LDH activity in culture supernatants is expressed as a percentage of total cell LDH activity. Data are pooled from three separate experiments and are mean ± SEM of 13 to 19 culture wells for each set of conditions.
