  • b Albuminuria was measured in three urine samples from a random sample of 3270 individuals. Two or three albumin-to-creatinine ratio (ACR) determinations ranging from 17 to 250 mg/g (1.9 to 28.3 mg/mmol) for men and 25 to 355 mg/g (2.8 to 40.2 mg/mmol) for women were classified as persistent microalbuminuria. Patients with one or more samples above the microalbuminuric range were classified as having macroalbuminuria.
